DStv celebrates South African stories as new packaging goes live in South Africa

  • New line-up: Starter, Select, Sports, Movies & Series, and Premium.

New Era for DStv

  • More value: more content and choice, with no price increase.
  • More choice: entertainment, sport or both.
  • More entertainment: Mzansi Magic moves to Select; M-Net and kykNET join Movies & Series.
  • More sport: full PSL moves to Select. New Sports brings 17 sports channels and every PSL, Premier League and UEFA Champions League match. Premium remains DStv’s complete sport offering.
  • More in Starter: 10 more channels, including Wethu+ and SuperSport KICKOFF

The new package line-up is designed around how customers watch today, with clearer choices, more accessible content and more value across the line-up.

“Our focus is on giving subscribers better value and access to the entertainment and sport they love,” said Willington Ngwepe, CEO of MultiChoice. “DStv's strength is the combination of South African entertainment, leading international content and unrivalled live sport in one place. For the first time in 15 years, we've taken a fresh look at how our packages work. We have reimagined our packages to better reflect how customers watch today, with tailored options specifically for entertainment and sports fans.”

More entertainment for more subscribers

For the first time, some of DStv's biggest entertainment channels - M-Net, kykNET and Mzansi Magic - are becoming available at significantly more accessible price points
